TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Please read these terms and conditions carefully. When you book your holiday with us, you are entering into a binding contract between yourself and your party and The Budle Bay Campsite. Your payment is taken to be your acceptance of our and the campsites terms and conditions.

SITE RULES
- You agree to abide by the rules of Budle Bay Campsite where you are staying. Copies of the rules can be found here, are on display at the park and you may obtain a copy of the rules from reception upon request.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Our Refund Policy works in a tiered system, set out below:
- If you wish to cancel 60 days or more before your scheduled arrival date, then a full refund will be given.
- If you wish to cancel between 60 and 30 days before your scheduled arrival date, then we can offer you the opportunity to reschedule your booking to a Non-Peak Period (March – 25th May, 7thSeptember – December excluding Bank Holidays).
- If you wish to cancel 30 days or less before your scheduled arrival date, then no refund or rescheduled dates will be offered.
Please note that all refunds or rescheduled bookings will be subject to a £7.00 administration fee.
We do not offer holiday insurance as part of our booking process and so strongly recommend that you take out holiday insurance before your stay. Additionally:
- Budle Bay are unable to offer refunds or rescheduling to guests who do not arrive or who leave before their booked departure date;
- If ejected from the site, no refund for the remaining days booked will be given under any circumstances;
- Our wardens reserve the right to refuse tents, caravans, motor homes and to ask guests to leave the site. There will be no refund offered if this becomes necessary;
- No refunds will be given if you have booked the wrong size pitch for your needs;
- Bank holiday bookings that are cancelled cannot be refunded;
- Refunds cannot be given due to positive covid tests. We advise you take out holiday insurance to cover such an eventuality.
Budle Bay reserves the right to change or cancel bookings at any time.
GENERAL TERMS
- All bookings must be paid in full before being allowed to stay on the site.
- Your booking is accepted on the basis that your confirmed pitch is available for your use on the agreed date. Very occasionally, unforeseen circumstances may not make this possible and in such a situation we have the right to cancel your booking. In this event, the park will endeavour to offer you alternative accommodation, if available. If they are unable to do so or if you do not wish to accept the alternative on offer, any refund of monies is under the discretion of the park. Budle Bay regrets that no offer of any compensation or any expenses or costs you may incur as a result of such cancellation or change irrespective of notice period shall be given by us.
- Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to stay on site unless supervised by their parents, guardians or caregivers, unless by prior arrangement with the campsite. Certain conditions will apply. Please call the site to discuss.
- In the interest of all visitors, Budle Bay reserves the right to refuse entry to the site to any persons or groups of persons at its discretion. Any refund of monies will be at the discretion of the park.
- If, in the campsite’s opinion, any person or persons is drunk or under the influence of drugs or substances, acting unreasonably or in a threatening manner (behaviour), damaging to property or is being an annoyance to other holidaymakers (such as making excess noise or noise at night), the Budle Bay reserves the right to evict the holiday party from the site. In this event, the hirer shall remain liable for the hire price and no refund shall be due. The hirer shall remain liable for any damage caused to property.
- The campsite reserves the right to enter any accommodation (without prior notice if this is not practical or possible) if special circumstances or emergencies arise.
- Budle Bay Campsite is a “dark” campsite. External lighting is kept to a minimum. It is your responsibility to take necessary precautions when moving around the site. The campsite caters for families and those looking for a more peaceful, quiet experience.
- Large groups and all-male/all-female parties are only permitted at the discretion of the campsite. Authorisation must be sought prior to booking by contacting the campsite directly. A security deposit may be required. If such a group is deemed to have congregated on site without notifying the campsite, then the campsite reserves the right to ask the whole group to leave and no refund will be given.
- The boundaries of Budle Bay are clearly marked by fencing. Trespassing onto the neighbouring land is prohibited by law. Anyone found trespassing onto the neighbouring land will be ejected from the site.
- Any verbal or physical aggression or abusive behaviour directed at any member of staff will immediately result in the offending person and their party being expelled from the site. Legal action will be taken when necessary and police will be called if the offender refuses to vacate the site when asked to do so. The safety of our staff is of the utmost importance.
AVAILABILITY OF FACILITIES
Whilst Budle Bay will endeavour to provide all facilities advertised on this website, it reserves the right to alter or withdraw amenities or facilities without prior notice, and without any liability to pay you compensation or damages for the loss of an advertised facility or entertainment. You should also be aware that Budle Bay offers restrictions on facilities and their opening hours during the off peak or at designated cleaning times. Adverse weather conditions may also cause the closure of some facilities.
UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES
Budle Bay Campsite regret it cannot accept liability or pay any compensation for cancellations to your holiday or the destruction or damage to your accommodation (which cannot reasonably be remedied to a satisfactory standard before the start of the holiday) due to ‘force majeure’, i.e. any event that could not be foreseen or avoided. Such events include but are not limited to industrial disputes, war, or threat of war, civil disorder, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions and all similar conditions.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
- Whilst Budle Bay is a family friendly campsite, there is no child care facility.
- Children must be supervised by a responsible adult throughout the site particularly by the roads, play area, river and shower blocks.
- Please note that at all times the safety of children is the responsibility of their parents or guardians.
- Please note that Budle Bay is not suitable for unsupervised groups of teenagers under the age of 18, unless by prior arrangement with the campsite. Certain conditions will apply. Please call the site to discuss.
YOUR VEHICLES AND PROPERTY
- Your vehicles, their contents and accessories, your luggage and personal belongings are left entirely at your own risk.
- Budle Bay accepts no responsibility for lost, damaged or stolen items from (including, but not limited to) your vehicle, tent, caravan, motorhome, trailer-tent or on-site accommodation whilst on the campsite.
- Budle Bay will not be held responsible for any loss from or damage to any vehicle from any cause whatsoever other than negligence of the campsite, park employees or agents.
LIABILITY
Budle Bay Campsite shall not be liable for the death or injury of any person named in the booking or as a guest on the campsite for any loss or damage to property of any such person howsoever any such death, injury, loss or damage may be caused otherwise than as a result of our negligence.
DOGS ON SITE
- Budle Bay Campsite permits a maximum of 2 dogs per group. If you intend visit the site with more than 2 dogs, express authorisation from the campsite is required in writing prior to your arrival on site.
- Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and kept on a short tether at your caravan or tent so that they cannot reach children or passing pedestrians.
- Dangerous dogs as classified in the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 or any dog with an order against them are not permitted on site.
- Any dog that requires a muzzle is not permitted on site for the safety of all campsite users.
- Any incidents that involve dangerous dogs or incidents affecting the potential safety of the campsite users will result in the party owning that dog being ejected from the site. Budle Bay’s decisions on the safety of dogs is at its own discretion.
- Budle Bay will fully support a police investigation if this should so arise regarding any incident with dogs on the site.
- Dog poo must be collected immediately and disposed of in the appropriate place. Any dog owner found not to be doing so will be asked to leave the site and no refund will be given.
- Dogs are only allowed in huts and bunkhouse with prior consent from the campsite. Should you wish to have a dog(s) in these accommodation types, you are required to call us to confirm this is acceptable at the time of booking. This cannot be booked online.
COMPLAINTS
Budle Bay aims to provide the service you have come to expect however there are occasions when unforeseen short-comings may arise. Budle Bay’s complaints procedure is available upon request from our wardens. No liability in relation to any short-comings or claim of whatever nature can be accepted if Budle Bay’s complaints procedure is not correctly followed.
